Like what could i do in Panama City for Spring Break?
And how much should i save up for it?
and how much do you think i will spend?
by the way its panama city florida
Seriousness please! thanks
I live in PCB. How long are you staying? If you don’t have a room rented already you better get started because they fill up fast. If you want a condo the person renting it has to be 25 or older. Other hotels and motels require 18 or older. Room prices are always jacked up during spring break so I would just check priceline or hotwire.com to get the best rate. As far as other expenses there are restaurants out here that are super cheap and really good or there are nicer ones that are like 15-25 bucks an entree. There are fast food places all over too though. Clubs and bars vary their cover charges. The bigger clubs like La Vela and Spinnaker usually have a cover charge anywhere from 10-20 bucks per person. Ladies get in free alot of places. The smaller restaurant bars like Hammerhead Freds, Sharkys, Foghorns might not have a cover charge or if they do it might include drink specials or something.
Really your budget depends on how long you are staying and how much you plan on going out.
As far as during the day just plan on a case of beer (no bottles on the beach) and a packed lunch to party on the beach all day. You and some friends could also go in on a keg and bring it out to the beach also.
Hey, I’m planning a girls holiday during the half term of February, (as this is the only time we can get away) and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Its a chance for just us girls to get away for a few days and as its winter we realise the weather is not going to be on our side, so we were thinking a city break somewhere?
Thanks for any advice!
Any of the bigger cities will be a good winter destination, and if for just a few days, most smaller cities too.
Just plan your activities on the weather you are likely to find.
Or maybe I should say clothing.
If you are going to the northern half of Europe, you might find temperatures below the freezing point, in that case, going from pub to club and on in short and open dresses is not a good idea. In such circumstances, opt for a city where you can wear warm outer clothes to a club and stay there for the whole night.
Sight seeing is easier in winter, as the crowds are smaller and waiting times much shorter.
Opening times are shorter too, so check the opening times of everything you want to see, before setting out for the day, that way you can plan on being in the last one before it closes.
Shopping will be as good as in summer, with the new collections in for the coming summer, if not cheap.
I think I would opt for one of the southern European cities for mild weather, like the southern half of Italy, and south Spain.
Or if you like big crowds and do not mind to pay more, hit on of the cities that celebrates Carnival if you on the right date.
That is Venice but also the cities in the south of the Netherlands, parts of Germany and maybe even more. Check the dates, as it is only one long weekend, till Shrove Tuesday, if my memory serves me right.
I want to bring my girlfriend away for three nights in early January to a Western European city. We live in Ireland and dont think its practical to go too far if its only a three night break. We would want a place with lots to do culturally, but also a place wherewe can go for a drink at night and there will be a good crowd around.

I left the USA from out of the midwest, and ended up not showing up in court. The charge is : property damage, missdemeanor. I plan on coming bact to the USA for a visit, (as I have since then). Since the new tough laws concerning international flights, I’ve become a little nervous. I called the midwest clerk and asked if there was still a warrant and she said yes, when I asked her if it was a misdemeanor she stated that it was breaking a city ordinance.
What I want to know is….if the government picks up on my warrant and realizes that it is for breaking a city ordinance, and I am 2000 miles away from the warrant will the authorities say, "Ah it’s just a city ordinance". Or will they probably say, "Wow we have a city ordinance breaker here we had better notify the proper authorties. Could breaking a city ordinance ever be a felony?
I’ve been trying for years to have my lawyer handle this from overseas. I am still trying though.
It can be if its state law makes it one. Clearly, yours isn’t. Whether it show up on the NCIC/HS computer: ???
He is leaving it up to me to choose a destination. We want to go for three nights in Europe somewhere.Somewhere with plenty of places of interset with lovely romantic restuarants. Have a maximum budget of £400. Not paris or Amsterdam though. The first week in December no where too cold!! Any ideas?? It is for his 40th birthday.
some excellent answers i like the idea of brussels or bruges will be looking in to it, many thanks.x
go to belguim… brussels is the best, its so romantic and the christmas market will have started by then. the food is wonderful..nothing more romantic then eating muscles/oysters and chocolate (obv not at same time..lol)..then take a day trip to bruge. at that time of year you can go to museums, iceskating, visit the ice museum when all these staues are cut from ice and visit a chocolate making place as well as shopping. its not expensive at all with flights from 130 return…have fun!
p.s..ive ben to prague..dont go there and also austria salzburg is nice but i had a better time in brussels..unless hes a major fan of the sound of music and mozart..then take him to salzburg!
I want to take my girlfriend on a European city break for 3-4 days in December. She’s turning 30 and I want her to have a great birthday. However, she has been to most of the obvious places (e.g. Paris, Barcelona). So, where should I take her? Valencia looks interesting, but is there enough to do there in the winter? Any help appreciated!
As you said it is not a shopping trip but a romantic retreat and since you visited most West-European cities and looking for a new more vibrant experience I would suggest capital of Hungary- Budapest.
It is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
City is amazing, very great architecture, array of the most beautiful bridges you won’t see elsewhere in Europe, so many World-class museums to choose from and great Opera that you will have no shortage of options.
Night life is excellent too with lots a trendy bars and night clubs.
Special word on amazing traditional cuisine that really is a culture on it’s own.
On a practical side- visiting it won’t make much damage to your budget as most of things are very reasonably-price and Budapest is way cheaper than any of West-European cities (saving you money for that perfect gift for your girlfriend to conmemorise the trip). Plus a great perk of that it won’t be overcrowded with holiday makers unlike all other popular West-European destinations.
Another place is Tallinn, Estonian capital (then again- Helsinki is just accross the gulf, 1 hour on a high-speed ferry boat, so you can visit two places in one go).
Which hotel would be a good base to visit the Christmas markets?
Frankfurt in November last year was fabulous!!! Mild weather, friendly people, and fun!
If you get the chance, visit Trier as well!
I know its Euros but every country charges different amounts for the same thing, just wondered how does Dublin compare?
Is it cheap to spend 3nights there?
i was in dublin for st. patty’s day and it wasn’t too bad. the hostels were all booked so i stayed in a b&b (was traveling with a friend so double occupancy made it a bit cheaper) and only paid 35 euros per night. that was a little more than i’d wanted to spend but the big irish breakfast in the morning got me through until dinner so it wasn’t too bad. plus, september (depending on when you’re going) is off-season or pretty close to it so you might get some cheaper rates anyways.
Me and my boyfriend are going to go away for a weekend city break next month, where would you recommend to go? We don’t want to spend a fortune either?
and also does anyone know where I could book a cheap city break on the internet?
The city of Athens contains a variety of different architectural styles, ranging from Greco-Roman, Neo-Classical, to modern. Many of the most prominent buildings of the city are either Greco-Roman or neo-classical in style. Some of the neo-classical buildings to be found are public buildings erected during the mid-nineteenth century under the guidance of Theophil Freiherr von Hansen:
Athens Academy
Athens City Hall
Greek Parliament
Old Parliament (1875-1932)
University of Athens
Zappeion Hall
