in the city and very seldom see state troopers pull someone over within city limits also. is there a rule or something concerning this?
The ‘primary’ jurisdiction for the sheriff’s department and the deputies out on patrol, is the unincorporated area of your county. That’s the part that is not inside the city limits.
The deputies have just as much ‘patrolling’ jurisdiction within the city limits – they can stop cars, give tickets, and be waved down for assistance of all types – but those taxpayers that live in the unincorporated areas expect their sheriff’s department deputies to give them the police protection and service that they pay for. They want to see those sheriff’s cars in the county area neighborhoods and handling problematic areas, the same as the city police are expected to do for the city residents.
That’s why you may not see deputies as much as the city police. It’s just a matter of them being where they are supposed to be most.

I havent heard back. Do you think i should apply else where?
A week is not enough time. The job probably generated dozens of applicants. And then there is the pesky background check and reference checks. Government employers are natoriously slow at hiring because of all the regulations.

I am in the process of refinancing and the underwriter is requesting a copy of the permit, which I or the city don’t have. Evidently, the previous owner did not get a permit. Can anyone please help in directing me to the appropriate city dept. to have this issue resolved. Thank you in advance. I reside in Virginia Beach, Va.
There is the danger that if the work done by the previous owner does not meet the buliding code for your area the city will demand you re-do it. This is sometimes not a bad idea in the case of sub-par electrical work for example. But can get expensive if they tell you that your house cannot have its facade or curb appeal changed because of heritage status for example.

AND LATS OF TIMES I RETURN TO ME LOCKED HOUSE TO FIND THINGS MOVER AROUND OR MISSING COMPLEATLY. all of my cars were stolen some the cops told me ewho stoled them and where to go get it after the moter was blown up and i had to have moter reblit again only to have it a short time till parted out and stilen forever. even when the thief comes to my residence after the cops told my who he was and begged me notto have any report written on him…. all i could say was that cops refuse to write reports for me. & i could do nothing to that thief or any other thief ever for anything. nothing is ever don to any crimminol for any crime thay ever do to me. thiefs admit steeling right to the cops face. & the damn cop well just simply walk away & do absoluty NOTHING AT ALL help me help me
