Our society’s growing consciousness about the impact of our actions on the planet’s health and well-being is being felt in the kitchen. Increasingly, the trend in recipes and cooking revolves around finding ingredients that are produced locally. Home cooks are recognizing that fruit and vegetables grown in other states and other countries gobble up energy to package and transport them to market. This leaves a big carbon footprint – a consequence that a growing number of families wish to avoid.

As a result, shoppers are seeking out fresh food and produce that is locally grown. For some, this means regularly visiting farmers markets; for others, it means inquiring about the source of fresh food at the grocery store. Many others have the desire to take steps toward finding recipes and cooking with fresh produce and other ingredients, but aren’t sure where to begin. How to Bake Cookies

Posted by admin on March 9th, 2010 and filed under Cooking | No Comments »

I am a cookie lover. No one loves cookies more than I. In fact, I can eat an entire roll of the Pillsbury family size chocolate chip cookies. Today I want to explain how I, the master, make cookies that make everyone who eats them beg for more. The only other cookies even remotely close to mine are those that come from Medifast a diet and weight loss company. Anyway, here is how it works.
1. Preheat your oven to 350 and grease your pan
2. Slice the cookies about a quarter of an inch thick and lay them on the cookie sheet.
3. Bake the cookies until the edges are golden brown but the middle is still a little undone.
4. Remove from oven and let sit.

In 3 minutes you will have the best cookies on the planet. The secret is hat the cookies will continue to cook on the hot pan after you remove them from the oven. If you wait until they are fully done, they will burn.
