I’m trying this number :
009 44 01603 773 151
It isn’t working! And I need to phone them today. It’s urgent.
The number still doesnt work…?????
Dial
009 44 1603 773 151
You have to take away the "0" which is the start of the area code, in this case that is 01603
EDIT EDIT EDIT
I have just looked at how to make International calls from South Africa and have found this…apparently you do not need to dial 009, it’s just 00
"PHONING OUT OF SOUTH AFRICA
To make an international call from South Africa, dial 00, followed by the country code of the country you wish to call, followed by the relevant area code (if there is one), followed by the phone number."
http://www.southafrica.info/travel/advice/telecoms.htm
00 is the number you need to dial out of SA
44 is the international number for the UK
1603 is the area code for Norwich
773 151 is the number at the college.
So the number you need to dial is…
00 44 1603 773 151
You now have the correct codes and if you still can’t get through then try calling the college main number which is 01603 773311 and ask to be put through to the dept you want
(00 44 1603 773 311)
I have several second interviews but none of them talk about salary or mention it in the job post. the co. are
macy’s department manager
target assisant store manager
abercrombie store manager
kohls assisant store manager
circuit city store manager
I live in new york and am graduating from college. the positions are for management in training programs. and i currently work part time with almost no responsiblities making 13/hour somewhere else.
im not sure how much you get paid at these places but I do know depending on where you live… the Kohls that my sister worked at was TERRIBLE she made descent money but they were just terrible there! Yea… so i guess it truely depends on where you live and I think kohl’s starts paying at… around… 6 or 7 bucks?
Hope this helps a bit!
Which pays better and has better benefits
well I would guess the CHP would have better benefits
since they are statewide and are funded by the California Government
and they have a lot of different departments (other then patrol of course) they also work with the California courts also guard
the governor and patrol state building as well
while a city police department is usually funded by the city’s general funds,,

i’m going to become a police officer one day but i still don’t know what city i should work in. i’m looking on their websites and going through things like the benefits they offer etc. but i don’t really understand it. can anyone help bring a little light to what i should be looking at so i can better understand this.
any links or comparisons between two cities will be really great. thanks to all who answered.
You need to make a list of the things you want out of the career and will make the job fun/rewarding and livable. Things like benefits, salary, take-home cars, possibility for special assignments, probability of promotion, the level of professionalism in the department, the city, can you afford to live in the area on only a cop’s salary there, etc..
Lay them out in a list and check departments until you find one that matches what you want to see.

Is there a website or something I can go to to find out if complaints against the police, or even specific officers have been filed?
Here is the truth, no matter what the haters want to post here.
If your city is large enough to have an Internal Affairs Bureau, go there and ask them. IT IS ALL PUBLIC RECORD!
You can search complaints by type, Officer, disposition and many other ways.
If it is too small to have such a Bureau, call your states Attorney Generals Office. They would be able to direct you to those inquires.
If you are even more interested in such stats, contact the FBI. They are responsible for all Civil Rights violations allegations made against the police.
I am an honest cop and expect the same from my peers.
This is not secret stuff. It is not on the web, but it is public record and available.
If you need any more credible information about this, email me.
