No dude, you are wrong. It would change the landscape of the country and the civilization. High speed train would bring you into the 21st century. Why don't you get on YA France where they are socialist and might care about Malacca and you not having a high speed train there. France has trains and might decide to build you one as they are always looking to colonize someone else.

You will still have to go to an academy but I know some departments allow MPs to lateral Transfer with a year or so OJT (on the job training) to learn the state and departments procedures. But bottom line is that you will go in as a officer. You will not go in as a Sgt or anything just because your ex military. Now your military training helps as far as trying to get on SRT/SWAT or if you were K-9 in the Army that will help you with that specialty in the dept. Stuff like that. Just don’t expect to jump in with rank or pull in the department because of your background. Hope this helps.

Alan, to be honest with you I'm not sure but I have an uncle that started out in the military then became a police officer after retiring. He's doing well. Good Luck! I assume with a degree in law enforcement you have all the skills they need.

start as an officer cadet in the police academy. then you you get a job as an entry level police officer.

If you have a Canadian drivers licence it is valid here for 90 days.
You can’t get a motorcycle licence here because you are not a resident. You must show a visa in order to get a drivers licence here.

No need to acquire any driver’s license in the Philippines if you only intend to stay in Davao for a short period of time. What I suggest you should be aware of is the motorcycle you are driving around if its registered or not otherwise, all is well with your Canadian license.

Drove around in Davao City for one month with my U.S. driver’s license-in a car.

I think it depends on the political will of your local government to pursue this issue. Maybe this concern was not part of their primary agenda. You can check it on their flatform of governance or ask them.

You go to Land Transportation Office at Quimpo Blvd. you bring some requirements, like ID, passport Birth certificate
